Harry threatens to shave his head as HUGE '1D World' store opens in New York

As hundreds of items featuring Harry's trademark curls hit One Direction's new store, the singer offered to shave off his hair on Children In Need.

There are three things that really mean something to us in life: 1) Our mum 2) Ham and 3) Harry Styles' hair.

Harry was caught aback when Fearne whipped out the clipper for his locksSo imagine our horror when Fearne Cotton produced a pair of clippers on last night's Children In Need, challenging the One Direction heartthrob to hack off his curls for charity.

Following the boys' second performance of the night - Little Things - she sidled over to Harry and declared: "So I've heard that you, Harry, will shave your head for Children In Need!"

Although part of us wanted to hide behind the sofa in fear for Harry's famous locks, the journalist bit in our brain sort of thought it served Harry right for giving a remarkably bad interview to Fearne earlier in the evening - one word answers are not good enough for live telly, Styles! She probably waddled over to Argos during the bit where she was supposed to be taking a 'sit down, you're pregnant' break.

Anyway - back to Harry's terrified expression on stage. The poor teenager was clearly torn between preserving his trademark curls - a source of joy across the world - and being a nice person for charity - he was never going to be able to say no to Children In Need.

Wracking his brains for the right thing to say (while Louis shouted: "He did say that, I heard him say that!"), Harry had no choice but to mumble: "Sure, go for it if you want."

One Direction

What a hero! Just when we thought we couldn't fancy Sir Styles anymore.

And then the joke was on Fearney - clearly taken aback that Harry had agreed to lose his hair, she began backtracking, shrieking: "I can't! I can't be held responsible for that! Could you imagine?"

Yes, Fearne, we can. We can imagine the FURY of One Direction bosses, who have spent weeks working on the opening of a massive One Direction shop in New York, which hundreds of 1D items featuring Harry's statement look.

The pop up store - called 1D World - opens later today (9am New York time) in Penn Plaza and features racks and racks of One Direction memorabilia.

We're not just talking hoodies, we're talking hats, onesies, Future Mrs - insert 1D surname here - T-shirts, cardboard cut outs, big dolls, little dolls, fake nails, key rings, bracelets, necklaces and even phoneboxes! All plastered with One Direction-based logos and faces.

The boys, who jetted back to London especially for Children In Need, would need to get on a plane, like, now if they're planning to attend the grand opening.

But Niall is still busy tweeting about this and that online, so we doubt there are any plans to head out to the Big Apple just yet.

Meanwhile, Liam wrote last night: 'Guys just saw the pics from the #1DWorld that opens tomorrow at 9am in NYC!!!! Looooks amazingggg! Go check it out If ur around 2 Penn Plaza.'

And Louis added: '1DWorld opens in New York tomorrow! Go and have a look!'

Well that's our Christmas presents sorted then.
