One Direction Plead With Fans To Send 'Take Me Home' To Number One !

One Direction have taken to their Twitter accounts to plead with their fans to help them send their second studio album Take Me Home to the top of the UK charts on Sunday.

The 'Little Things' singers are on course to bag their first number one album this weekend after the midweek charts show they have dethroned Robbie Williams' latest album Take The Crown.

According to the Official Chart Company, the boys' second album has already sold an impressive 94,000 copies in the UK which could see it steal Mumford and Sons' title of the fastest-selling album of 2012.

In addition to Robbie's album, One D are keeping at bay Rod Stewart and his Merry Christmas, Baby album, the Rolling Stones' Grr! and Green Day's !Dos!. In a bid to push their sales a little further, the boy band personally asked their fans to buy the record in the run-up to Sunday's announcement.

"Guys we are so close to a number 1 single with Little Things. Lets work together !!" Louis Tomlinson tweeted. Niall Horan added: "Just seen the chart positions! Oh my god! U guys are incredible! Thank you for all the #1's unbelievable! Best fans on the planet!"

"Literally can't believe the msgs I'm getting tellin me all this! Mindblowing! Thank you sooo much for everything," he added.

Heartthrob Harry Styles also did his bit, tweeting: "Our Album is still out if you want one!! You can get it in HMV If you like."

Take Me Home features the singles 'Live While We're Young' and 'Little Things,' which was penned by Ed Sheeran, while McFly have also contributed their songwriting skills to the record.

The lads have just returned from the US where they performed on the Today show to a record-breaking 15,000 people, before announcing that they will be releasing their first 3D concert movie in August, 2013.
