Amelia Lily tells Dan Wootton: I turned down One Direction's Niall Horan - to go out with an electrician
Amelia Lily came third on The X Factor in December and the teenager is signed to record company Xenomania, the hit machine famous for writing and producing Girls Aloud's songs.
'I moved to London in January and had my first day in the Xenomania studio by the end of that month,' Amelia tells Now's Dan Wootton.
'It's quite incredible for me, being a 17-year-old girl from Middlesbrough.
'Everyone was expecting a rock song from me - but I'm not a rocker. My passion is dance music.'
Amelia was papped with One Direction's Niall Horan and though they exchanged numbers, she admits she didn't fancy the blond singer.
'Sorry Niall,' she says.
'He's a nice guy, but not my type I like dark-haired boys.
'I've got a boyfriend who isn't in the industry, which is what I like.
'He's 19 and an electrician - the complete opposite to what I do. But I like that.
'When I'm with him I still feel like I'm a teenage girl.'
