Here comes trouble! One Direction get reprimanded by the NYPD after Louis Tomlinson stops traffic by filming from car
They've wowed audiences with their Madison Square Garden gig and have delighted US teens with their frequent outings in the city.
But it seems the boys from One Direction haven't always been behaving like angels during their stay in New York.
Louis Tomlinson, 20, got in trouble with the NYPD on Thursday for filming himself while standing up out of the roof of their car.
The heartthrob was shooting scenes for the band's upcoming 3D behind-the-scenes movie and tried to capture the moment as their car cruised through the city.
Louis filmed himself while singing and standing up out of the sunroof.
However, New York police officers spotted the young man and stopped the vehicle to give the guys a reprimand, which subsequently caused a gridlock.
A source told The Sun: 'Louis and the lads are having a great time in the Big Apple and want to capture every minute.
'Louis was only standing through the sunroof momentarily but it was long enough to catch the eye of the cops. He may have found it funny but motorists stuck in a traffic jam certainly didn’t.'
Thankfully, the boys were let off with a warning about road safety and continued their journey, but not before the police officers ordered the guys to roll down their window and spoke to a guilty looking Niall Horan as well.
But Louis wasn't the only one that got into trouble during their stay in New York, as Liam Payne recently angered security staff of the Empire State Building.
According to The Sun, the singer send a tweet, which has now been deleted from his profile, criticising the manners of the security team at the iconic New York sight.
However, the Empire State Building's media team wrote back on Twitter, telling the heartthrob: 'bad behaviour not accepted at ESB. No, our security does not know who you are, and does not care.'
The boyband member has since apologised on Twitter for the misunderstanding.
However, the guys will have enough to film for their new movie as they gear up to perform at the annual Jingle Ball concert, which will also see Harry's squeeze Taylor Swift perform, as well as Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber and their arch nemesis The Wanted.
